Thank you for your interest Lynn. You are right we do not have any city light pollution. All there is between this shot and the mountains are coyotes and antelopes. On this shot I used Tv 1/25, Av f3.5, ISO 100 and an exposure compensation of +1 1/3. When we have a beautiful sunset like this I try everything and sort it out latter. Sometimes the magic works and sometimes the magic doesn't work.

Stunning! A great shot! Bruce, I wish you'd give more info on your photos (ie: what aperture, shutter speed, ISO, etc.). I'm up here in Phoenix & while we get some lovely sunsets here, none can compare to yours (too much city gets in the way). Great work. Lynn

Thanks for the input Jim. I looked at your work and it is fantastic. Critic from you is a great honor. I was in Sedona last weekend and was overwhelmed by the place. Your picture of Cathedral Rock is incredible. I could not do it justice. Bruce

Wow! What a fantastic sky. This is a very powerful shot. I do have a couple of comments though. I think it would be stronger if you had not included so much foreground - the rule of thirds would work well here. Also if you had a split neutral density filter, you could have increased the detail in the foreground which would have made this shot even stronger. Nice work, keep shooting.
