About Taken some steps away from my place in Lucerne again. The exposure balance works better and better if I am not completely mistaken, and details are kept both on lights and on shadows. I keep working on this. Any comments would be very welcome.

Gustavo, I know what we must do! We must take a chance at some national lottery! We will win, the millions are already ours!!! ;-)

And then I'll buy you five EOS MARK VVV, three iPod touch, two iPod touch Photoshop, and an HP50G calculator for controlling all the stuff automatically! ;-)

Cheers!

The elementary physics won't change just because the digital industry wants it that way. Until the pixels of the CCD rich molecular dimensions the elementary physics is still pro film. If I had the money I would go buy some medium format Yashika, or Mamiya, or even better Hasselblad - of which I dream each and every night. Aaaarrrf! ;-)

Cheers Gustavo!

Seguro querido amigo, te deseo toda la suerte, pero también te entusiasmo a que dejes los rollos y te compres una buena SLR digital!...;-)

You see the details in the shadows, don't you, Gustavo? Or do you mean the shadows around the yellow house near in the center of the right side? I guess you meant that because the street on the bottom half is full of details and thus it is OK. Not perfect but OK.

Now, those shadows around the yellow house near in the center of the right side, they are indeed too dark - and when we say "too dark" in photography we don't mean hues that we "don't like", but rather lack of details, of "drawing". Indeed they are almost uniformly dark and not much more. I must find some film with even greater dynamics range, despite the fact that I learn better and better how to use the available range in the sense of the availabale light. It's a tedious process, but also very valuable. Wish me good luck for that!

Cheers!

Very nice lighting on the buildings in the sun, Nick, and you have retained detail in the shadow areas.
Dave.
