About	a relative newcomer to photography, first developed a film in a damp cellar with sparse equipment, in 1959, then eons of time pass 'till I get dragged reluctantly into the digital era, being unable to resist gadgets, now find myself concentrating on the effects of light on things and using the light that bounces off a tree trunk, like in this shot, to provide the contrast with an adjacent object, like the stick, it's not about the shot, it's about the difference between light and dark and the graduations in between to produce a pleasing abstract image which is an extraction from the component parts rather than a true representation of them! see what I mean, eh? well, do ya' or have I just got lost in some photographic backwater to while away my days shooting leaves and sticks and wondering if I will ever see a point in it!! better go and feed the chooks, cheers, david.
