Thanks, Harry! I agree with your suggestion 100%. In fact, I love to take portraits/candids from near ground level. The only problem that day was that it was so damned cold that I could barely even shoot!

Thanks again!!!

Cheers,

JP

oh my... that is impressive, about the moment and the try of the kid trying to save the ball, the exposure is VERY ballanced as you have perfect sharpness on the player BUT soft blur on the ball, that as an effect left the fealling of the action but ALSO the sharpness that needed on the human (especialy on the face) and really a so good snapshot worths a lot... congratulations!

CK,

Thank you for the solid feedback. Actually, I had cropped this a bit already, but I see your point. Ideally, the other team would have been closer, to provide more drama, and the people on the sideline would have been intently focused on the 'save'. However, I cropped the image more to cut out the parents/coach, while still preserving the essence of the match: the mano a mano with the other players.

Thanks!

JP

Thank you very much, Gianfranco. I would expect an Italian to appreciate keping the ball from gong into touch!!!

JP, I think you did an excellent job on the timming of this shot. I know from shooting my own kids how hard it is to capture the action at the right moment. My only suggestion would be to have the action a bit more isolated. I'm not sure if this is already cropped however in my opinion the men on the left dont really add to the shot. Perhaps this shot could benefit from a slight crop. But overall you nailed the save on this play good job.
