Thanks a lot for the nice comment and the very interesting suggestion, Robert! Well, if the light is captured over a neutral background - perhaps the white part of the wall, then yes, it would really work very well. And it could perhaps have also a more "real street" touch.

Thanks a lot for pointing that out!

Nick i like this shot, though I do not know if would have tried to separate the two. The background in focus I think may have worked better for me. Nonetheless a veryplaesing conmpositon.

Regards,

Robert.

Thanks a lot for the nice comment, Gustavo! After Kiarang's comment I think that the right side was a bit too much, but of course I am glad to know that you find it good this way.

Thanks a lot for the nice comment, Dave!

Through Kiarang's comment I tend towards a better focus on the right side now, but still I find the light and the background OK as they are.

Cheers!

Thank you very much for the nice detailed comment and the suggestion, Kiarang!

So let's crop again! (Attachment.) I see what you mean, the wall at the right is really too fuzzy for having a reason to have it there. I think the best would be to have it but in a better focus. The crop brought a clearer and stricter definition, and so if the same definition would be present also with the wall at the right, the image would carry a much more street-like appearance too.

Thanks once again for raising my awareness!

Cropped 1/4 off the right after Kiarang's idea

Precioso detalle!, muy bueno el enfoque, el encuadre y la DOF.

I think you've done a good job isolating the light, while still retaining enough background to show the relationship with the surroundings, Nick.

Well,
yes a successful trying in seprate objects to keep attending to the stuff.
open appreature here works well, also using long focal lengh can impact the perspective and enhance the blurry mood and sepration in the photo very well.
again; a very good tone and nice done.
i'm just a bit distract about the 1/4 of right part. that's not nessesary and could be crop!
