About Phi Phi Island, Phuket, Thailand. By now you are probably getting a bit tired of my "travelogue" of my recent mini-vacation. If you could have seen the sights with your own eyes I think you'd understand my excitement over this series. So I try to share it with you, not only to document what I have seen but to get your feedback on how I could improved the images. Comments are welcome! The use of a polarizer accounts for the deep saturation of the sky (in most of my outdoor shots) and in PS I have worked with levels and curves and USM in addition to some minor cropping, rotation, and cloning of distracting elements. Your turn.... what to do differently?

Whereas I liked the 'cove' picture a lot, I think that the colors in this one are far too saturated. Unless you wanted to give a surreal look to the picture, I think that less bright colors are better. Is there a blue cast on the rock on the right, btw?

george.. i think i must have seen this picture and some other pictures in your portfolio. I am giving you a straight 7/7 and here is why.. the gradation from bright colors to dull colors is evenly distributed. I particularly like the greenery on the rock on left side of the frame.. which almost resembles like painting... next you have the green ocean water.. your shot here almost looks like an alien planet from Star Wars.. All we need is a couple of space crafts and advanced water crafts..

Very very beautiful place, George. Perfect in all aspects. But tell me: this is the default color of D100 or you have to work something in PS. Could you respond this question for me. Is very important. I'm thinking to buy a D100 but seems to me that it can't create the some color of the velvia, my principal film. But in this shot (the first one I saw in internet) you get very similar colors of the velvia. my e-mail is alexuchoa@uol.com.br Thank you very much.

Overall a nice image, but for me the colors are too saturated and become unnatural.

How could we tire of these???,, I like the cropping,, the height to width ration suits this well,,, I would like to see the sky remain the same and a little less saturation on the green and the sea, but,, that's only a personal preference,, all in all a very pleasing photo,, would like to see this enlarged and hung,,

Another beautiful place very well taken, but IMO, as i said in a previous one of yours, colors are always too saturated, especially on the grass and on the sea... just my point of view...
