About I saturated a bit and enhanced contrast a bit. Yesterday's upload seemed paler than the original on my computer, so I'm trying to compensate.

I know what you mean, this one look like it could be in the wild (which is nice -- even if it's not true), but I do like the stare in the other photo.

Thanks for your encouragement.

I love how the light shines perfect on her face ..I do like the 'light saturation' ..but I also liked her drinking the water as it was - hard to say which is best ..each has their own qualities ...Lovely shot Mayanne- they are soooo beautiful aren't they ...
Thanks for sharing :))

She does look sad, doesn't she? I'm sure she'd much rather be out in the wild chasing zebras -- I always feel two ways about zoos, although this lion habitat is better than most.

Thanks for commenting.

Thanks Doyle for your always constructive comments. I agree it is a tad too tight on the right and lower crops, but that was "in camera." I'm not as good as I'd like to be at framing the photo while the animal is on the move, but I'll work on it. Glad you liked it otherwise -- she's was such a pretty color :-).

Thanks for your help with my donor issue -- it's a frustration.

All the best to you,

Maryanne

This one has a more natural setting but I WOULD say to watch out for the cropping, even if cropped in camera. It seems a TAD too tight on the right and lower crops, but the exposure is spot-on!

I've informed Phil Cohen of your donor issues.

Thanks so much Ozjan. I've been having the same problem -- although I confess I haven't taken many photos except of my children at Christmas time. But I did get out this weekend and I'm also getting my motivation back.

All the best to you.

Well, I must thank you a lot my dear friend for bringing me back to usefilm. I was sort of lazy to post and get active again but I am so glad to come around and view your pictures and other friend's pictures as well. That is a lovely shot of the lioness. Most great pictures of animals are those which taking are not taking from behind steel bares and cages and I thought that this picture was taking in the forest but your title is clear. Cheers and 7/7.

Thank Brigitte, I tried another contact to get my donor status worked out. Re: the restriction on number of uploads, I have to say, in truth, that I suspect the quality is better if I upload less ;-). I think my lions came out the best because they were outdoors. It's still a bit cold here, so many animals could only be seen behind glass or behind bars -- which makes a good "wildlife" photograph a bit more difficult.

Thanks for your feedback -- I hesitated to increase saturation and contrast, but yesterday's upload does look sort of washed out compared to the original.

Glad the changes worked out well, and thanks for visiting.

Another great shot of this incredible animal! I think your adjustments look very good and natural. The composition and especially the lighting, where it is primarily on the subjects face, is simply perfect! I know you must have a lot of good shots from this trip to the zoo and it must be a bit frustrating to not upload a few more each day - I hope your donor status gets straightened out soon. You may want to go to the forums here and mention it. I read that some people were having problems with that as well due to the administrator being very busy or something like that, but a friend saw the post about the person's payment not having been rec'd and promptly contacted the administrator who fixed it. Good luck with that and keep posting when you can! 7/7
