Very interesting effect, it reminds me of something between a church window and Tiffany glass. Perhaps the junctions could be a bit thicker for a more realistic look of the whole puzzle as a puzzle? But the original image must have bin also very nice considering timing and lighting. (BTW, was it so dark in its original form?) The darker look enhances the face expression and that smile which seems a but enigmatic too.
