You are over the top, JP, but thanks anyway. I always enjoy playing with the tonalities of BW flowers after I settle on a color image. Please keep in touch. Anson

WOW...I am speechless, Anson. This image is as delicate as the flower that it captures...I really like the delicate lines that range between clear focus and DOF out of focus.

You can see, Julie, I have my "studio" back now, which was out of use for nearly a week with the new flooring being installed. Moved my small orchid collection back in this morning, and they all seem to be very happy. Even the cat is acclimating to the new smells; she has her meals in the "studio", actually a sun room with glass on all but one side. Keep your portfolio going, Julie. You have an excellent eye for composition, and please know that because I, or anyone else may suggest something to improve your shots, you are the judge that really matters. Be happy with yourself. Hi my dear friend. I really like this one. Incredible detail on the "eye" of the flower, I can even see the opening in it. How's the remodeling coming along? Hugs, Julie.

Thanks so much for visiting and commenting, Naseer. You are too kind with your comment. This shot was made at f 4.0, which for a 90mm lens gives a fairly shallow depth of field. I focussed on the tightly wrapped "button" at the top of the blossom and let everthing else fall where it may. Regards, and welcome to UF. Anson
