About A more "chaotic" look, especially due to the presence of that red net. Any comments would be very welcome.

Velvet Underground are for me a great initiator of so many streams that followed later on, Ian! I can't think of punk, goth, speed-trash without them. They re-defined (or perhaps also annihilated?) what the boundaries of music to noise are. And that was really necessary since the whole rock world would get a very boring direction if such bands haven't been around. They seem to me to be some if the very first bands to not only accept but also promote that kind of "Yes, we do like to feed your ears with pain" and so they avoided what many others did, namely to camouflage obsession with "creativity" and the like.

As about what people are listening to... well, I guess that mist of the time you win by assuming some sugar coated "lalala" or some kind of boys/girls band that dances "oh so sweet" on stage. ;-)

Cheers,

Nick

Oh, be sure that you caught me very, I mean really very unprepared, Visar! ;-)

I have these image since such a long time and it was yesterday the first time that somebody mentioned that mistake - so again %&*£!-Rats! This is what happens when I do photography and think of heavy metal! ;-)

Well, we are humans, we make mistakes, or even better: We are mistakes, we make humans! ;-) (And guitars too!)

Cheers to you Visar,

Nick

more of a velvet underground chug fan myself but I do respect the van halens and joe satrianis of this world... I'm just not sure what people are listening to.

Thanks a lot for the nice and detailed, and also so ecouraging comment, Burim!

I saw the video, and yes the designs are very similar. And this is no coincidence, I think. You see all those insane patterns and lines and shaopes on guitars.. it all started with the one and only Eddie van Halen, who made his own guitar like this back in 1978. He was the initiator. After that the whole world started doing the same, and even this sereis is my very personal dedication to that genius guy. Just go to http://www.van-halen.com/ and take a look at the guitars. This design was his design back in the 70s.

So, with this series I think that I contribute to the complete vanhalenisation of the guitar world! ;-)

Cheers,

Nick

But hopefully the sound is nice and overdriven but clean! ;-)

Many thanks again for the nice comment, Ian!

And it was great that you pointed that out, visar, since me blind one didn't even notice! A clear mistake - I simply didn't position the multiexposure layer right. Aaaaaaaarrrghhh!

OK, I calm down again! ;-) I tried to save it by cloning a bit of the rest of the face into that white space. (Attachment) Now I hope that the staccato can develop without any disturbances any more, so turn it all up to 10!

Thanks a lot for the nice comment and even more for the sharp eyes.

Cheers,

Nick

Cloned some of the inner part into the white part at the top left of the guitar

No me olvido que prometí retocarte alguna guitarra a mi estilo, ahora elijo una, viéndolas a todas en conjunto...

Un abrazo!

Another great shot from your successful series.
I really like the red net which gives the shot a unique and 3D design something that each and every guitar player would like to have.

By the way I just happened to be watching a video of Venom - Live from 1985 on YouTube, when I saw that the guitar from the solo guitarist (mantas) looks very similar to your guitar on this shot.
I would like to send you the link and watch the video if you have time.

I wonder if this is a coindicence or is it the spirit of heavy metal that follows us everywhere around.

Best regards
Burim

yup, chaotic indeed!
i like the cherry colour here, and all the thin interlacing lines of that colour.
I checked the multi exposure design, and that white/ overexposed part on the upper left is not there. though, i am only pointing it out, i do not have an opinion about that!-
very energic design, typical for your beloved genre ;)

regards,
v.
