thanks a lot James, well actually the sandstorm here was very thin... I mean that the 'objects' that the wind can transfer are very tiny, as the fat dust falls down to the sea (we have 200 miles of sea Medditeranian) so even the color was strong and we seen hahaha...stars when the conditions being normal again, the only we can feal except of the warmness was a funny smell and that our mouths taste it... yea, very bad taste... after that of course I didn't change lenses...

hi john. the colour here is quite good. to be honest with you, i dont know how you got the photo really. i was in a couple of sandstorms in xinjiang (far west of china) last summer and i couldnt even keep my eyes open as i tried to get down the street. cant imagine what that might do to a camera :) thought it would be like a sandblaster.
anyway, its good work nonetheless.

Interesting image, nicely composed. It must have been something with the birds flying through the sand -- also must have been a challenge to keep the sand out of your camera. Fascinating colors.

Such interesting shots you got that day but I don't remember seeing the poor birds before - they must have totally had to use their radar ...they could not see nothing I think !

yeap... birds lost there ways and landing in 100s... that funny weather never cames back so strongly however many times we...taste the sand of Sahara as Greece and especialy Crete that I am, are very closed to Africa and Sahara...

yeap, that was real, (no filters, no PSing) that day all Greece, about half Italy and many countries of Balcanic area was into ...sand, even Austria has some of that weather... of course over Crete that was very strong, we are not far from Sahara too haha...
