I went to the garden yesterday John JUST to get a picture of this flower but of course left with about 200 other pictures on my memory card...LOL.
Is the Sigma lens AF and is the one you mentioned a prime lens?

now THAT is a flower absolutely amazing, and very unknown, with wonderfull details Julie...
for macro lenses I think you must take a look on Sigma's series that works for Nikon too... they are cheeper and very good... especialy the 150mm that is very bright too (f2.8)
