Your work must indeed have burdened you. For me sitting here in peace itīs surreal. I know what has been taking place, but my mind wonīt accept it or understand how neighbours and friends can suddenly slaughter each other.
I suppose that old history in the hands of wrong leaders can lead to much insanity where even the wise must surrender to this madness after withstanding the pressure of hatred and evilness for long time.
Most people probably have this wild animal as a part of us that is tamed and civilized but can be lit given the right(wrong!) circumstances.
I mean if someone hurt a child in front of me, I would rage and go beserk although being a very peaceloving nature.
Unfortunately there are always people being born as psychopaths with no empathy, so I canīt see how we can ever eliminate war and crimes completely no matter how equal we became. Oh I must stop. This is something that I could go on about.

yes dear Blueyed,
i was working with "war crimes and postmortem/ exhumation" for several yrs now with UN. and other crime units. i have attended many different crime scenes, and encountered something that i will never experience again in my life- i know that. that loads on anyone a heavy load- that heavy that you keep questioning many different things of human nature- and perhaps call you to the very esence, making you think of yourself as a pure animal rather than a rational being- i mean, look around us we hardly can see a whatever animal being hit by a car, accidently, and let alone humans being slaughtered... anyway, that's a too hard a topic to be talked about, ;).
so, we'll stick to our passion on photography. and you've ilustrated this shot pretty good,

Your comment has disturbed me. Crimescenes youīve attended...was that a joke or is it the pure, awful truth about all the killings in your region, all the massgraves that were revealed? Something that I thought wouldnīt happen in Europe again, but man is man which is both a promise and a threath.

Amen to that, dear Rog.
It really is strange that all of us are living as if our lives and doings are very significant, but in the big perspective weīre nothing - a breath of air in the history of Earth. That knowledge can both be scarry but also set us free.
The old remains from people thousands of years ago shows that also they lived and longed for love and knowledge, and they disappeared so quickly. Sigh.

very interesting combination of layers, resulting with a shot which looks like the poor child has been worked out by aliens- who only left the shell of the body, taking the whole content!
it looks really strange unlike any crime scene i have attended in my life (and i have attended many last eight yrs).

its also like archaeology, where we constantly cross and recross paths made by generations passed.. where, just below our feet lies a lineage of the years... the old graves, the old kitchens, the old dance, halls the old laughter, the old tears.. I often well pretty much every time we visit Sydney.. I sit and think wouldnt it be wonderful to bring back Sir Arthur Phillip.. who was the first governor of the colony of NSW and ask him his opinion of the place, and more importantly what we have done to it

Yes and it has just gotten worse because I havenīt respected the signals my body was giving me- Iīm such a fool!

it conjurs up memories of my Site Incident Series which ran for about a year on UF all the images were based around the story of a multiple rapits murderer who stalked and raped and killed girls.. with a twist revealed right at the end where SHE was revealed...

I love your comment, Michele. I didnīt know exactly what to call this image, but your words make it clearer to me.
Sorry for being so inactive these days. Iīve injured my right arm and hand from using the mouse too much- bummer! What to do?! Itīs hard for me not being able to work by the computer, and I shouldnīt even comment right now or upload any photos.

BTW I mailed the little buddy to you Friday. Nothing in the newspaper yet, so I thought Iīd better send him. Thanks for letting me host him:) I could/should have taken Gene to many more places, but too much going on right now.
My hand is still so sore from having this damage from using the mouse. I shouldnīt even post any photos, but itīs hard not to!

Excellent and creative.
This is not a negative comment as it could well be your intention but this actually disturbs me. John mentions ghost like, which I see, but I interpret this as the unmarked grave of a long dead child, over which the unaware walk (footprint and pawprints).
Strong and powerful image which challenges the viewer, as photography can, and should.

impressive 'connection' between tso so different photos, I can say dramatic as it looks like being a ghost down there, scary shot a bit but that excactly is the great element here Annemette, excellent work!
