Hi Andre!
And thanks once again for the nice and detailed comment!
Well yes, not everything has to be in focus in general. The thing here (to me) is that in some places the white flowers in focus stand in front of other white flowers not in focus, and so the contours of those in focus get weaker. I think that this can be helped by choosing the angle of view more carefully, which I think I din't do as well here.
As about "less is more" - I have to totally agree with you. Most of the time overkill is not a good thing to have, except perhaps in some few cases when one wants to convey chaos and "unpeaceful" look.

Hi Nick, I wouldn't worry about them all not being in focus. The composition is fine the way it is. I think it is perfectly acceptable to have just a few of the blooms standing out from the crowd in focus. Another thing about this one that I like. It isn't too busy with colour. Another example of "less is more" Andre

I like your selective focus here, Nick, I think it works well in this one, as well as the more or less diagonal composition! Dave.

Muy bonita Nick!, me encanta la composición en el sentido de las diagonales, y los blancos tan suaves y agradables. Bravo!
