Well at least he decidid to sign the Kyoto Protocol but much more than formalities must happen to make it work. We ruin this planet, we ruin once more the areas where more underprivileged people live or try to and we think too little of the consequences when we use electricity, hot water, fuel etc. People working with non-manual jobs donīt need to shower every day or change clothes every day, Christmas is not about having most lights on the house burning for a month in a row, we donīt need to consume so much. It doesnīt make us happier and it sure doesnīt help this planet that we share.
Thanks for your point of view dear Rog - always good sharing more than technical comments!

Thank you so much, dear Roger, for your very generous offer.
I have just posted my first try using layers. However, as I am self-taught, I am not sure whether or not what I have done is OK. I would appreciate your comment and help very much. My email is:
minoo_s@yahoo.com.
Many thanks again for your kind offer.
Best regards,
Minoo

yeah I was immediatley reminded of Mountains With Flags or at least another line from the song..

gold fragments on the moon
n filthy footprints in the silent dust

referring of course to the photos taken by Armstong and co of their footprints on the moon..

A splendid image I love the translucent blue with the footprints.. looks like sand on a beach.. nice handling of the levels of opacity in your layers as well good strong statement.. did you hear the news that our Prime Minister signed the Kyoto Protocol.. and then said that he wasnt going to enter a discussion around setting targets till next year.. makes you sick

Excellent work, both aesthetically and in terms of meaning. Beautiful blue, great effect of the smoke and the footprints! Could I kindly ask you to explain to me how you do this overlay? This is such a strong and captivating image.
Hugs,
Minoo

Thanks dear Joggie:-) Yes, I did think exactly the same making it B/W, but somehow I prefered this because it really shows what weīre destroying. Have a nice weekend:-)

Very interesting combination Annemette - the footprints are great idea! Like the symbolism! B&W with some increased contrast may even be more dramatic! Regards.
