Thanks for the long comment, dear SM- )I love such ones, and I agree with you. We all have this brutality within us, some deeper than others. It is merely a question of what it takes to push that button which varies from individual to individual.

Hey POD,
without reading the about your photo made me think of a roadmovie kind off stuff. Nicely done.
The about, well off course mankind is violent by nature and driven in his actions by that same violence. Also I want to stipulate that every person being male, female, violent or peacefull can turn into a bloodthirsty creature I someone pushes the right buttons.
Pffffffff what a very long comment :)

No indeed - there is not much violence in me, but still if anyone were to harm someone I love even I could turn into a brutal being. I think we all have it in us depending on the circumstances. That is why democracy and education, knowledge always must rule, so our most basic instincts don´t take completely over. Well a complicated theme that no one has a brief answer to.

How I know about this drain and disappointment, the high expectations that some people regard as naive and illusoric while noone would ever say that they are the ones that are evilminded and that their deeds and wrong influence is what makes one feel lost once in a while.
I don´t fear so much evilness as the lack of goodness or the fall so to speak - the factors that make goodhearted people full of visions for humanity lose and become narrowminded and viscious. That really makes my heart heavy.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, dear Greeneyed friend and thank god for kneeling beauties:-) They make you feel safe and warm in the Decembernights:-)

At times, you decide to take a walk, a ride to the... riverside or whichever –side but most of all it is ‘a ride through your inside’.
As you go by, you know, they say the river is wise, and all of a sudden you just remember that all you are grateful about, or apologies that you have in mind- make no sense to be outspoken- especially when all the sorrows and pains and futility of the world drains through you- and they do, don’t they!? It requires no more than just a few heartfelt ‘something’ be denied of their existence- and then you see- plainly…
we could only wheeze, sometime, almost lay on the ground- holding the head on palms and feel down, and then as you walk by the river you peep at the caged bleeding claws, its fanged face behind the bars called persona- social persona, so threatening; and its fearsome, and to comfort that fear, you are forced to live what could not be forgiven--- or….
My inside told me many times that that inside fanged creature can be tamed, rationally, in a higher level; that level that make us different from other animals. And we know that as we go by we feed the world but it does not feed us or even if it does it does not do it the way it appeals us! An alibi for many to jump onto the other side---or to the primal instincts, forgetting of our defiled spots in us to wear a smile on you firstly, and then to the world!
I have not forgotten about your existential reflections dear blueyed friend, and I will get there asap--- once I fix my nest as now I am wandering up and down on a zillion stars hotel with no pillow under my head and if there was not some kneeling beauties around I would be having the earth as my bed!- (it is not as bad as it sound),

I agree- state driven abuse of power is devestating and should be avoided through democratic institutions, but what if the public opinion supports violence? I believe that almost every human can turn into a violent monster if being threatened enough:-(
