About I read somewhere that this book only sold about 6,000 copies when it was first published in 1958... 1958!!??? Hey!!! That's the year I was born! Maybe back in the day, people did not believe it was right to line the pockets of murderers and brigands... times have changed. I bought this for 10 cents American. 1/10th of a dollar at a library sale. I see it is worth several times more than that... even in this condition it could easily fetch $100.00 on the open market. Here is the site to read some of the stuff:
http://www.law.umkc.edu/faculty/projects/ftrials/leoploeb/leopold.htm

This book was written by Nathan Leopold. I do not waver from my course. Leopold was guilty, guilty, guilty, guilty... and wrote this book as a bit of self-propagrandizement. (I think I invented another word… I have been very good at that, lately) I do not fall for the: “I was kind of guilty but not really THAT guilty” crap.
I will never sell this book while I am alive. Maybe, in some crazy turn of fate, MM can sell this after I am dead and gone and defray the funeral costs. Then maybe Bobby Franks would have died for a reason.

Howdy, Jon!!! No, they did not deny their guilt. In fact, each accused the other of giving the fatal hammer blow. Since it could not be determined who was the actual "murderer" that went a long way in saving them from the chair.

Nice guys... if the evidence *against* guilt was all contained in the odd conspiracy theory rants posted on the website then I echo the words of the great G.B. Trudeau in saying: "That's guilty. Guilty, guilty, guilty." Although it is true that the police like to get their man and that in their haste to do so often develop an unfortunate fixation (do an internet search on the name "David Milgaard" for a good example of why Canada no longer has the death penalty). Yet these boys don't seem to have denied their guilt, did they?
