About Red green seems to be a favorite color combination in natire. So here's another one. Any comments would be highly appreciated.

And now what?

The river and the city wall

Down to the crowded life

Tiny rosalies

Glow of artificial and natural light

Ammonite on papyrus

The pink dance

The lake restaurant

Peace in the absence of human beings - a self-fulfilling prophecy

Could somebody help me out of here?

Hi Andre!

Of course you don't hurt my feelings. I can only be glad for real critiques and sincere discussion. You know, posting older images from time to time and comparing the own points of critique with those of other people (*if* any ;-)) is a good thing for realizing the way one has learned some things or still misses other things.

I would surely go for a closer zoom today and would be less impressed by the color alone that I think made me neglect composition completely at those times in the past. So I can identify very well with your review. Unfortunately I see too little of such well thought out reviews most of the time from most of the people here, and so I'm glad whenever I have them.

Thanks a lot,

Nick

Yes, another one of my color-phase, Dave! ;-) I guess a stronger zoom would help much here though.

All the best,

Nick

I also think that a stronger zoom would make it better, Gustavo! This series is, as already said, a very old one of mine, and so I am glad for any comment about it, since it works in a retrospective way, and it allows me to know more about what I could have done better.

So I listen, I think, I compare my impressions of those times with today's, and your comments give me many good hints.

All the best,

Nick

Hi Nick,
I have looked at all of your florals posted in the last few days and I have to say that I have no doubt that if you took these images now instead of a few years ago, that your compositions would now be 100% better. This one and a couple of the others posted have far too much unutilized space in the image. Also the flower is simply sitting in the middle of the frame. Not the best condition for a nice composition. I know that I'm not hurting your feelings when I give that kind of a review because I think you are already aware of those things.

Impecable desde lo técnico, a mí me gustan más cerca, más "macro", fuera de esta cuestión de gusto la foto es irreprochable.

Un abrazo!
