About If you were to shine a light source at a CD and peer at it through an empty plastic mineral water bottle, this is what you would see. Then again, why would you…?

You want these colours on the wheels of your car, John? Oh dear, you're in a worse state than I am! Though I guess if the car were metallic pink, it might just work...

Many thanks Jan. I did wonder about those imperfections in the bottle but chose this as the best of the bunch. But know doubt it's a subject I'll return to, and being quite easy to set up it means that comments such as yours are extremely useful and welcome.

Many thanks Doyle. And the beauty of this subject is that it is easy to go back and do it again, making comments such as yours all the more useful. I'll leave it a while, but I'm sure another of these will pop up sometime in the future (as it has done in the past!)

AJ -- Give me enough weed and I will also shine a light source at a CD thru an empty plastic bottle -- I might even fill the bottle:) Great shades of the 60's!
Love the color and shape of the abstract results but the glass impurities weigh it down just a tad.
--Best to you, Jan

Hi John! Well I totally nailed how you pulled this off from the thumbnail. (Didn't hurt to know your CD history)! While I find this interesting (and appropriately titled) I think the focal clarity pulling in the impurities in the glass is a distraction and a more dramatic crop might have made for a better composition. It would also eliminate the bubbles (upper left - see attached). Just a thought . . . and I'm certainly no expert on abstracts . . . :)

Very interesting abstract AJ. Really fabulous colours. CDs reflect awesome colours and putting that through the plastic bottle was really very imaginative. Love it :)
