My biggest distraction is not her moles, which is just a part of who she is, but her eyebrows, which need to meet with a weed-eater(TM).

I had her look into the light, as I wanted to place the catchlight in the center of her pupils.

Thanks for the feedback, Mark.

I like the funky hairstyle being cropped out. I think you should have PSed the moles. IF she was staring into the camera with an intense emotional look I would say this is a great shot, she's not so IMHO it's a very good shot (the staring off into space is to STANDARD IMHO) The mismatch of the eyebrows and eye lashes bothers me but that's her doing so she needs to work it out. I'll go with a 6 on this one.....PS the 2 moles and it's a 6.25, have her look into the camera and it's a 6.75.....

Good luck, mate! I'm off to bed.

I'd be interested in seeing how you rework it. :) Send me the link...I'll see it tomorrow. :)

Oh, ok. A selective unsharp mask.
I'll do that. Thanks!

Mate, I'm only a rank amateur at PS.

All I did was lasso the area around her eyes, feather it at 5 pixels, and then use the Unsharp Mask, set at around 45 to sharpen the area. I then deselected it, and did the mouth area, set at around 30.

See attached file.

Hey, Paul. Mate, I'm certainly not pretending to be any great photographer when it comes to portraiture, of for that matter with any genre, however, I still feel it's a bit soft around the eyes and mouth. I've had a very quick fiddle with it....it's probably a bit over-sharpened, now. :)

Mate, it's only my very humble opinion...however, that's the way it looks to me. :)
