Thank you Gary.Actually, one of my goatherd shots-with him carrying the kid-got through to the last selection of 25 photos (there were about 700 at the start!!) and was then discarded but kept for an exhibition of the best 60 in the town hall in November. In the Antequera part of the competition my shot of El Parron Ąs face blending into the Tocal made it into the last 10;a photo I much preferred to the one that got me the second prize.Technique, concept and originality seemed to be the most important criterion in the selection process.I spent this evening out on the farm with my goatherders and family, the stories they tell about their childhood experiences-riding into town on their mules to watch Tv- are priceless!

Congratulations Tony, or as I should say, felicitaciones! Actually I think there a quite a few of your shepherd series that could win a prize and are certainly a stong enough theme for an exhibition. Enhorabuena! Gary

I'm glad you liked this photo Gary.I like it a lot more now as on Saturday it won me second prize and six hundred euros in a National photographic competition organised here in Antequera.Well over one thousand photos were judged( more than in the first Epson competition)and after nine hours of judging!!!this photo got the prize for Antequera section. The other section was Free theme for which there were 700 photos presented.Altogether an interesting but marathon session of photo critiqing.I was well chuffed-but with a sore bottom at the end of it!

An amazing shot, Tony...love it! I do agree about the dust specks, but it's still 7/7.

Awesome concept and brilliantly executed. Great lighting. One small nitpick, Tony, the two dust marks in the sky irritate me, but only because they detract from such a fine image. Regards, Gary

How come noone commented on this one?? This is so full of mood and thoughts, the title makes it extremely suggestive linking man to early history. Great tracks fitting the title! Surreal and timeless at the same time. Really appealing work, Tony! Best wishes Annemette
