Now this is some interesting bird here! It looks quite exotic to me I must say, 'cause I have never seen this kind of bird before. Beautiful with all those spots on itself. Really great capture, great focus and sharpness! Excellent wildlife photo!

full zoom, 500mm (plus the 1.6X of Canon magnifier (not full frame camera), no tripod needed even the lens does not have any kind of stabilizer you put just one stop faster exposure, ISO200 for lighted objects and ISO800 for shadowed objects and ...click...

Yes, I keep trying to do this but I always fall off!

He looks very smart and is beautifully sharp - actually, sharper than I seem to be able to get with my Sigma 70-300. Were you on full zoom and did you use a tripod?
