Nice to see you back, and this is my favourite of your uploads so far. Stormy days do make nice B&W, and your conversion here is excellent.
I agree with you about the crop on this, as the interest is in the sky and the ground and crosses are there to put the sky in its place and add interest to the lower part of the frame.
Nice sky details. Great mono conversion.

A very beautiful emotive and dramatic image! At first, I thought the ground should be level but going with the theme, the position on the up-slope of the hill adds to the fortitude of the cross. The position of the lighter clouds is perfect, drawing attention from the sky to the cross. I agree about a crop from the top of 1 inch, still enough to include the dark clouds above the lighter ones. I'm writing all this because it's the critique corner..;) I love it!

I agree with you that stormy days deliver nice photos. And this is something that I normaly wouldn't do, but since I saw the photo in a critiquer's corner, I tryed to retouch it a little, just to see what will I get. I changed the composition a little bit, so it's not so central anymore, I ''leveled'' up the ground, croped out some sky from the top of an image and I lowered the brightness. Here's the result:

Hi Txules,
Lovely shot and very dramatic. Awakes strong emotions with me. The cross standing strong and sturdy in the face of the storm. Perhaps just a little adjustment. I would've taken out about one third of the sky at the top. But thats more a personal style than anything else. Still a lovely shot. Well Done!!
