My Dear Yamil! I did not mean to upset you!!! The cast is off (since 5th Feb)and now it seems I will not be having surgery! However, I do have more X-rays etc this coming Monday, and many other related appointments, since no one is exactly sure what to do about the arm.
The fracture is actually: "A traverse fracture through the base of the olecranon process of the ulna. It is well opposed and aligned in all views." However it is not mending well. I have long attempted to tell EVERYONE that it is NOT just the fracture causing me so much grief, but my shoulder... I have had rotator cuff damaged 2 years ago, and naturally, I know how it feels! No one listened to me. No one! I was experiencing so many problems with the nerves in my arm from the shoulder right through to my fingertips. They were tingling and my palm was often numb. Eventually in my sleep, (once the cast was off... and this "miracle" occured but a few days ago,) I woke to a pain and a noise in my shoulder. Whatever the technical term for it is, the shoulder had been "out" the entire time, and once it "popped back", while I was sleeping, I was suddenly free to do much more with my arm and typing even feels like good therapy! LOL.
Am having X-rays for elbow and FINALLY X-rays and an ultra sound for shoulder as well... It is still a long road ahead of me. The pain is still not easy to manage much of the time. You seem to know something about fractures, so I am attaching for your interest, one of the best exposed X-rays from a few weeks back. (The others through the cast are not so clear, but as the report on those state, the fracture is still clearly definable. And I KNOW it is not healing well. It is a difficult place to have a fracture that can easily heal. But I won't give up! And see... I am typing with 2 hands with relatively no pain and I feel it is good physio... lol... My warmest wishes and thank you for your kindness. Aniko :)

Dear Aniko. I am so sorry to hear about your elbow and it breaks my heart to see you with the cast. I know it's hard not to be able to do photography for a while, but very soon you will be fully recovered and ready to hit the field again. If you have to have surgery, you probably got one of those Salter-Harris type IV fractures. For now, take it easy so the perfect alignment will be achieved. Good luck with your healing and I look forward your next pictures.
Warm Regards.
Yamil

Dear Yamil!
Many thanks your kind comments, and hopefully, eventually I will be able to post more. Finally I reply, but am in much pain with my broken elbow... (which is why I have not been in UF for so long...my elbow requires surgery. I find even small tasks like typing hugely difficult... It is especially frustrating not being able to hold a camera...) My best wishes to you and your's, Aniko :)

Many thanks Bill!
Not the greatest output, as my scanner is not always friendly. This was the best rendition I could post. I have so many creek and river shots from over many years. This creek is actually a very very long creek... goes on for miles and miles. :)
Your thoughtful kind comments are warmly appreciated.
Best to You! Aniko :)

Hello YT, my friend!
I am so pleased you visited. It is a pleasure to hear from you and I thank you for your kind and honest comments. I am still having problems with my scanner, (as the print is sharp and has great colour), but at least I do have a new printer at last. One step at a time :)
I am sorry to hear your wife has been suffering from insomnia, and please send her my best wishes. I am happy she is sleeping at last.
I have been an insomniac for as long as I remember. I always (year round) sleep (when I can sleep) with not only my bedroom window open, but also the door! My bedroom door has not been closed at all, day or night, for over 10 years! I love the air flow :) I have attempted many natural sleep inducing "medicines" and also those prescribed by my doctor. They do not work.
I take things as they come. I am becoming enthusiastic again about photography. I have had so many other "things" occupying my life, and with the scanner acting up, camera and lens problems, I just have not been doing much in the way of photography.
Hopefully, I will have some new creations soon.
Again, thank you and wonderful to hear from you!
My best Regards to You and Your's, Aniko:)

Well,Aniko, the shot does not look perfect (as it is expected from you!!!), but it looks artistic enough to have an impact!I like the composition, especially the boulders covered by moss, and the silky quality of the water! (By the way, my wife has been suffering of insomnia, too, this summer and she finally gave in and accepted some sleeping pills. And now, with only half a pill and windows open at night, she can sleep!) Thanks for remembering me, your visits always give me pleasure! Best regards, YT

Many Thanks Dear Riny!
I was just thinking of you. :)
I should be asleep (what's new??? LOL!) but came in for a little while as I cannot sleep. I am also working in the sites I manage. I have not been doing much while I've been sick and also having other non cyber "things" happening. Feeling somewhat better after around 7 weeks of the 'flu. Still have ear infection, but it is not as bad. I am healing :)
Trusting All is well with You! :)
Warmest Wishes my Friend! Aniko :)

Oh, you poor critter! I do hope you get some deep, restful sleep soon. Yes, I know about old equipment, and just pray that mine will keep working. For some reason, my computer is getting slower and slower, and I can't afford to have anyone look at it. I'm sure there must be something I'm supposed to be doing for maintenance, but don't know how or what.:)

LOL Shirley!
Well the printer is definitely "dead". I no longer require it as an ornament on my desk. Perhaps I should give it a decent burial.
The scanner is "moody"... I am still only threatening it with flying lessons... :) :) :)
Photoshop just decided to have a hissy fit too!
See what happens when one uses ancient equipment and old programmes? Hehehe...
Not to worry.
I am more concerned over my dreadful insomnia. It is almst 11:00am here and I have not slept a wink all night. Body is weary, head is finally traveling in the direction of sleep, if only a cat nap...
Gotta laugh! :) :) :) zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

You're right of course Dear Shirley!
It is a tad soft and the colour balance is not as good as I wanted either. Yes, the original is sharp and has nice tones and contrasts.
My scanner (and printer) are soon to take flying lessons off the balcony! :)
Hugs to You, Aniko :)

Hi Nicki!
Thank you for your kind comments. I wish the image were sharper! The orginal is... and the colour balance is better on it too, but it did not translate as well as I'd hoped here.
You are too kind.
Love and Hugs~ Ani :)

Thank you Claudia!
I am not totally happy with the colour balance and sharpness, but that's what happens sometimes when scanning from a print on a scanner that is not in a good mood... lol... Warmest Wishes, Aniko :)
