Thanks, Larry. I can't afford any more equipment. I have three studio strobes, and one was always connected by PC cord to my N90 and that one then triggered the slaves in the other two. Maybe if I can figure some way to deflect the built-in flash enough to still trigger the slaves without adding the harsh direct flash...hmmm

Hey Shirley...I have no experience at this however I'll do some research and let you know if I come up with something...My general opinion is the D80 supports the Nikon creative lighting system through the hotshoe...I don't know what adaptor might be used to trigger your studio lights

Very cool...really shows their size.

I need your help. I went to do a series of self-portraits with my D80 the other day, and discovered for the first time that I could not find anywhere on the camera to plug in my studio lights' PC cord. Am I just not seeing it, or does it not exist. I couldn't find anything in the manual.

I didn't think of this when I got the camera, unfortunately. You'd think I would. I used the built-in flash to trigger the studio strobe, but it made harsh light. Very frustrating.

Well Rutger...That's a subjective question totally at the mercy of individual opinion...I like it this way.....Thanks

Hi there, just one question: was this point of view better than exactly in the middle of the qay (with the lanterns exactly in line)?
