Thank you for commenting Robert.I either used the exposure filter in CS3,selecting IR.or,more probably,fine-tuned this effect in channel-mixer- tony.

No Ian,it's the old spelling of Brooklyn from the time when NY was known as New Amsterdam,Breuklyn having been colonised by the Dutch too!After watching so many movies I quite expected to get mugged the moment I reached the other end of the bridge but ,in fact,the area on the other side is very up-market and posh!Apparently,when it was first suggested that a bridge should be built and the 2 cities merged the people living on the Brooklyn side were horrified at the prospect of hordes of Irishmen flooding in from the 5 points area and elsewhere-if you've seen Gangs of New York that's quite understandable!!We spent the evening in an Irish pub and had a great time!
