The other side is strictly for bicycles which come from both directions and we were warned by our Big Onion walk guide(the Brooklyn Bridge 2hr. walk)that these cyclists could get quite aggressive if we stepped over the line!Surprisingly,I found that motorists in Ny. are much more tolerant than European motorists and even the traffic lights give much more time to pedestrians than over here.A nice surprise!

This has the feeling of another era. And what really strikes me is the way the walkers keep on the right side of the white line - you wouldn't see that in Europe! Excuse my naivety, but why are there no walkers in the other direction?

Aren't they just!Extremely difficult to grab this shot with high-speed walkers just behind and the cyclists bearing down on me from the front!Still,I couldn't resist these shadows and knelt down to get as much depth as possible.I liked the feeling of transcience they gave me on this wonderfully beautiful and massive structure.
