About This was taken at Travel Town at Griffith Park in Los Angeles, California. Travel Town is a muesum of old rail road equipment and trains. This steam engine was built in 1864 by E.S. Norris in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and named the Mariposa. It was in service until 1953 when it was donated to Travel Town. Its wheel arrangement is 4-4-0 (American)and weighted in at 33 tons. Its drive wheels are 63 inches and length 53 feet 3 inches.
