I am game and I hope we can figure this out .... last summer I had a beach house and did not work... this summer I am working and living at my Mom's sooo I do understand some problems here... BUT they can be over-come .......altho it seems much harder than it should be:((

I am a BIG baby when it comes to the ocean here:((
There are lots of Whale Watching boats that take people out daily but I have not gone.....
Besides not caring for the ocean here, It is soooooo COLD out there you've got to wear really warm clothing, and rain gear...I am up for it, but have seen plenty of whales right here from land :))
We don't have rain yet... but any time now I can feel it in the air....

I appreciate you are willing to tell me the truth.... sure I like to hear support and encouragement but I will not learn if this is ALLLLLL that I hear.... Srna was just teasing this morning ...well it was our last night, but for her it was morning, and she is my friend and your friend and noticed our conversation so she joined in...

I have taken a few shots of the other side of the dune... & the beautiful beach there...but I was up against the cliff that goes out to a point in the sea if this makes any sense at all(?) My portfolio image now is on the other side of this dune, and up against the cliff..... also you may recognize another sand dune image... (?) which is just the other side of this dune as well:))
I hope to show You- Much easier than referring to images I am not sure if you've seen or not...

I´m used to sanddunes, but this one looks awful big!! Did you take a ride down rolling?*LOL*
Nice diagonal line going through the photo. Now what about that beautiful beach on the other side??:-)

Ohh...I'm so glad for you that you will have a new lens!!!! So you can do more beautiful things.Even on the beach or with animals,flowers!!!You will have a lot of fun.Its not easy to climbing in sand dune.I have try it in Namibia..always one step back..very strenuous!
I got yesterday a new lens too.A macro lens Canon EF 100mm USM!Now I have a lot to learn too..:))))

I only have the one lens soo am not able to zoom in but I do believe that the little something in the middle on top is a person from the other side...which is also a beautiful beach .

Great diagonal lines between the hill and tyhe sky...and the guy out there gives an idea about how difficult is to be there... very nice composition of colors and I only could try to put that hill starts its line from the bottom right corner and ends more to the top left corner...just a though ofcaurse, not something that is a critique...not at all...

I will learn , I am sooooo passionate it is my life .... but even at this rate it still takes time .....
I lucked out today and 'freaked' because of all the quick activity & I couldn't get the camera settings quickly enough... But the opportunity made my day .... There were anchovies in the ocean by the dunes...and the seagulls were thick in the air ...I got a couple ok shots... but YOU would've LOVED it !!!!

Michele, this is a very beautiful capture, despite the dark spot of the upper right and a bit over saturation, your diagonal compositition and the dunes textures are excellent :)
