About While on my way back from deleiveries I stopped and actually took this image of hyway 101 - I had just pulled off of it to the east....Never thinking I would take an image of the hyway...but I did- just in-case it looked better in an image than I was used to viewing.....
It looked MUCH better I thought- then I over-saturated, to get a fantasy look to it--- even tho I realize it still has power lines visable but I was soo pleasantly surprised by all of the color..... and the view that the hyway didn't look so bad, the bay looked so pretty, and in front of me, the wildlife refuge really looked better! I hope You like it too.... Even with the Power lines--I will learn how to remove them or hide them soon....

Thank YOU dear Srna... All the rain does bring out so many colors (and of course I helped it along too:)) I drive this hyway most everyday- and I appreciate it's ever changing beauty- then I didn't see it Friday... so I stoppped just to make sure by taking this image - and 'it was still there :)' --- I just couldn't see it for a minute (?)
I always appreciate your comments my dear,

Michele~

Thank YOU Joe and I do appreciate your great critique and understand why maybe I shouldn't have over-saturatd & about loosing some of the clouds- I was just soooo excited because everything was looking just grey and bla to me and in this image it came out much more vibrant and how I used to see it:)) Hope this makes some sense...(?)

Best wishes,
Michele~

I'm not really troubled by the power lines in this one Michele. They are a fact of life and you were not shooting strictly a nature scene with the highway and all. I would leave them in.
It is a very nice composition with the old trees and vegetation in the foreground, the distant bay and hills and the beautiful sky. By over-saturating it you have blown-out parts of the clouds which bothers me a bit. I understand why you did it but maybe not in this image. I think Ed's treatment has some merit. I would crop a bit off the top of the sky.
Having said all that I think it is a very well seen and taken shot. It is very attractive. Thanks for posting.
Have a great weekend,
Joe

I'm impressed from the difference of the color strength on that...soft back - top photo, strong and vivid at the foreground - bottom of the photo, half - half that is a very good element!!!

Thank You for your coment Ed...Yes I was going for OVER-SATURATED on purpose- but I do like your 'canvas' effect and thank You for showing it to me- I don't have access to many programs I can use as I am running out of RAM and need another pc for images .
Best wishes,
michele~

It looks over saturated, but if this is what you were after is ok. I would also do a "canvas" effect using GIMP.
