Yeah, that would have been a lot of extraction and replanting otherwise. The have been doing that sort of thing around here, specifically at Discovery Park--removing the scotch broom and Orgeon blueberries. It's quite a project.

It's funny to see you refer to pine as exotic.

in the long run James what has happened is that eucalypt are now growing where once pine forest flourished.. this has stunned the ACT National Parks to the point that they have now declared that natural vegetation will be allowed to regenerate and that no planting of exotics will be allowed.. so yeah a good(ish) thing too many people died for it to be good.. but yeah every cloud as they say
