Thank You Jan - I love cows too... but it was private property so I couldn't just climb the fence it was off a busy road.... and until I get a zoom lens it hurts me worse than YOU my friend :)) She is a real beauty and I am dying for a zoom lens .....
Hope it won't be too much longer ....
I'm not making excuses Jan- I feel just like You about seeing her up close in that pose ....

Michele - A cute photo of this shy and gentle girl. Cows are my favorite! (I have little cow things all over the house that I have collected). I would have liked to have seen our girl here close-up, more telephoto, tighter crop or if you had ventured through some manure if possible to get closer. You can see she is a real beauty and the pose is perfect.

Aha I see your problem! No cropping out a river- that is prohibited by the riverlovers on UF:-)
I love cows like you also do.
As a child when moving to the countryside I used to lay in the fields surrounded by the cows that are a bit wild until they have their first calf- I donīt know the English name for it. I loved to be around them and had such good times with all the animals in the area. Iīve caught many animals that got lost! I also tamed the cows and so forth blah blah- I could go on and on!

The cow was one of my first pets as a child and they really do like to be close- ha!
My cousins and I used to brush our cows geez- they were like big dogs:))

WoW ! I live near Tillomook a (major cow town- wreaks of manuere just to stop there-) but popular for milk and cheese products in America-- and I hadn't thought about that - Cows being Outside - !
Thank You for your kind comment Annemette- I think you're right about cropping MORE of the left side out--- I'd already done it quite a bit BUT Annemette it's a cool river on the left side...so it was hard to do - (ha!I'm crazy huh?)

A sweet cow in the middle of the field- so good seing that itīs outside because more and more cows donīt even get out anymore- such a disgrace.
The colours are lovely and the scenery peaceful. I think I would crop out some of the left area leaving only the cow, the green grass and the yello flowers.
