I really like this. Your capture of the details and variations of colour are wonderful. It is gorgeous. Seeing you have it in he Critics section, I would make this suggestion--for me, I would like the see only the bloom. The little bits of green partially pull my eyes to those spots away from the 'main event'. It is just a very small thing thought. This is a besutiful shot.

Amarylis are very difficult for me to photograph, John, I think primarily due to their somewhat fragmented shape. This shot seems to work because it uses only the part of the flower that was most interesting. Thanks for the nice comment. I thought about the stamens for some time. Regards. Anson
