I am cancelling my subscription to "Bird and Bloom", I can see better shots taken by you! Plus your information on the subjects are far more knowledgeable.
Your grackles are more colorful than the ones we get which lack the beautiful head color.

What a wonderful photo of a beautiful bird!The lighting is perfect as is the clarity. The muted tones are so lovely makes me think of early winter mornings.

This one is really good shot, Joe, you’ll so try to finish some cosmetics and see how it will look like on high res print ,maybe a small size will be more effective!!
If you like I can try to see what will come up. I guess not to day but any time later this week!!

Thanks very much Dave, their iridescent blue and purple colours are quite attractive and their eyes with the small pupil is really spooky. They are pests, they come in flocks, scare the smaller birds away and eat all the bird food at the feeder but they have to eat too. :)

Very cool shot, Joe!! I like the composition very much; I think your zoom max in :) I don't mind the little blur; the most important is you got the bird perfectly framed!!!!
That will look very fine on the wall!!!

Nice composition Joe, and interesting bird... so many colors, blue, charcoal, a brown, black and those white eyes !!! Looks like all the berries are gone off that branch --- poor birdie... Nice textures, and exposure.
