This has to be one of the best (IMHO) shots in your portfolio. Difficult to decide which one is my favorite, but this one is right up there on the top of my list. The compositions in your shots are close to perfection and I am finding it difficult to think of just the right adjectives to describe how the colors, lighting and details that you manage to capture make me feel. What an outstanding eye you have for just the right shot! I'm certainly looking forward to many return visits to your portfolio.

The rocks on the left are actually abandoned millstones which were man-made from gritstone, made into circular shapes with a hole in the middle and were used for grinding barley and other stuff up. There are literally hundreds scattered all over the Peak District in the UK.

Beautiful image, I like the diagonal formed by the pink plants, and the path in the distance taking our imagination for a stroll.
This is quite intriguing for someone who has never left this island I was born on. The rocks on the right look as though they have markings on them, and those on the left show the influence of man. What is the history here? CC
PS Congratulations on so many awards packed into one page of spectacular photography.

Wow!
The thumbnail mdoes not do justice to this shot. Excellently executed Richard! A well balanced composition, with lovely colours, and the path leading your eye right up to that clouds. If I have to critic something I would say the rocks on the left could be lightened up a bit, but then that might lessen the focus on the millstones int he front. Just an opinion. Very well done!! Congrats!!
