I bought that old issue of Spider-Man (number 6, from November 1963 !!) in a comics shop in Duisburg Germany when I ws living there, together with the whole series of the years 1963 and 1964. Still have them all, still read them all again and again. Some things will never change ;-)

It reminded me of a scene of Spider-Mann against the Lizard of a comics that I read some time ago! Even the part of the leg that is kept out of focus makes that atmosphere very intense - thze lizard is.. here? Or what is that if not a lizard?

The excelent details of the "hand" are a very good example for exact focus! But above all the very strict and dense composition, I think, is waht conveys a bit of that feeling in front of the unknown.
