Karen,

well you have been following me around while I have been commenting on Ivans shots so I thought I would come and look at yours. I have to admit I would have never used this film for this shot, however I think I like the results! The grain worked for ya! The background and foreground are lit just enough to contrast the model. Very nice work. I am a sucker for black and white, and flower shots, so I'll be visiting your folio more often.

Later my friend,

Russ

Great shot Karen...Lighting, tones, and composition hits it right on. The model is also very attractive. the wistfulness of her expression adds to the appeal of the image.

Hi Karen:
How are you doing? Looks like Diane is doing great! I love the rich look. I can't belive it's a 1600 speed film.
I love the pose and her clothes.
I always enjoy your work, Karen.

Derek can you elaborate on what you mean by detail please?

Derek Kennedy   {K:2270} 5/3/2003
Karen: my only nit about this is that the detail just isn't there. I'm not sure if the look is intensional or not. The lighting and tones work well for me, but the models expresion - kinda gives me the impression she really doesn't want to be there.
