Well, I think it's nice to be able to see the back occasionally... and extra nice he is not in the water, but perched, this is different... :)
How the wings and feathers meld together when not in flight... The individual feather shapes themselves are magnificent... Wonderfull detail and composition( for me ~~GRIN~~):)

Thank you all for your comments and wods of encouragement, much appreciated.
I agree that it would have been a better shot had the duck been facing me a little more. He was actually sleeping at the time, I waited and waited until he opened his eyes so I could get this shot, then he closed his eyes again and went back to dozing. As it was, I wasn't able to get around to my left any further for a better view of his front, I could only go to my right which didn't improve the view. :P
