Just waiting for the rain! hehehe... 11 years of drought in Aus now... WOW! (Yes, I know you used the term after the rain as a metaphor... :) ) And some "unpleasant" and "naughty" person has been stealing my tank water that I have to buy in as there is virtually no rain. Boy, are they in for a surprise! Nudge nudge, wink wink, say no more... :) :) :)

Yeah, I LOVE the blues, and enjoyed putting this "rendition" together very much. I believe the singer is pleased, although it was not a portfolio image she used... I mean, it was made for my own pleasure :)

Aniko -- here I am back to visit; and this is outstanding with the blue Blues. I am a Blues fan and this evokes the emotion and feeling as if I was listening to this singer belt one out! The effect is perfect and the singer should be very pleased with your rendition.

I also like the blues a lot and as a musician and singer, it is my favourite style to compose and perform, so I easily relate to other blues artists and find photographing and PS work for musicians to be relatively easy and a lot of FUN!
I am pleased you like my public profile shot. It was not a set up. It was the morning after the day before... a VERY long and difficult wedding shoot. I like that image of me too as it is so real... Typical me, sitting on the floor, even at my age! LOL! The only thing the photographer captured that was an interruption of me working... I noticed the photographer creep up on me, and did something "silly"... placed the Cokin filter holder over my eye! (I don't think I ever grew up... just old... lol...)
Thank you Albert. You're quite right. I deal with a lot of trouble. Each day something else crops up which makes things a bit tough, but I am battling through. I really appreciate your offer of help and your e-mail addy. I will write to you if/when I can/need. I don't like to burden anyone with my problems, and please don't worry about me, as even when I've "got the blues", I remember to smile and play and give thanks that I have a far better Life than soooooo very many people in this sad dark "blue" world we live in.

This is a great shot ! I like the blues a lot and this is simply a perfect expression of that wonderfull feeling connected to this music.
You definitly got the blues, as photographer.

It feels like an eternity since I have been here and have missed you all so...
Thank you for dropping by and for your generous comments.
Hopefully I will be able to be here more often now...
I have had so many problems, and without going into details, the big one as far as being able to pop in and out of UF is my computer! I manage two MSN sites and I used to always keep a window open in UF as well so when it was "quiet" in my MSN sites or there were assistant managers on "shift", I could be in many places at once, so to speak... For quite some time, my computer has not been functioning well with more than a couple of windows open, and I suppose my priorities need be as manager of my sites.
I am rambling on, but with joy that you have come and visited me!
I will be around as much as I can.:)

LOL Dave! "Graced"??? Hardly!!!
Yeah I posted a couple of pics... Snuck away from work as MSN was being "naughty" and frustrating me horribly (as was the moon...).
I'm really pleased you like this one, Dave. I rather like it too. The same person in this dual image. I like the story... or what I was attempting to portray... the looming large dark "her" in the background being perhaps the "inspiration" for the blues performer "her"... I know what I mean!!! How blue do you have to be to sing the blues? I reckon pretty darned blue if you are a good blues singer... lol... (By the way, the shot of her singing, she really was singing at the time.)
Anyway, I'll stop blurbing on and say thanks again. I really need the encouragement! Been feeling "blue"... lol...
