It looks well against the ominous sky! Without your "about" I wouldn't have known the meaning of it. We have in Japan, at Sapporo - capital city of the island of Hokkaido - a similar snow festival (international) taking place each year in February. The sculptures are on a grand scale, just in the middle of the town, but this year they had trouble with the lack of snow, high temperature and later on with fresh snow falling on the sculptures.I like to see your takes from a similar event! I really like this shot Dave, what makes it is the contrast of the dark sky and the white snow. Rarely do you get these conditions, but you were ready with the Fuji to grab the shot, well done. The exposure on the sculpture is spot on.
