Oh, I got it now! Who can resist to include such a water in a photo! :-)

BTW, what was your focal length here?

Cheers,

Nick

Nick:
Yes, it could. Regardless, it would require a re-shoot. I was merely ruminating that the height of the palms might require a re-thinking of the focal length to include enough of the water for my comfort!! :)

Couldn't it work by keeping the same focal length and simply turning the camera a bit upwards, Doyle?

Cheers,

Nick

Thanks Nick . . . something to consider for another shot . . . this was in camera cropping (if I recall correctly) and therefore the palm tops are gone . . . but perhaps a wider-angled lens. Thanks.

It does have something very special in its grey-blueish coloring! Perhaps leaving a bit of the water (up to the birds) off image and taking the top of the palm tress instead?

Cheers,

Nick

Thanks very much Michele. I have a new editing program that works WITH the Elements one . . . which I used for this capture. CaptureNX by Nikon. Can't recommend it over what I already mentioned . . . but works well WITH Elements for a fisheye.

Uh oh DC.....venturing over to the darkside of IR are we now? Ahhh somehow I knew our paths would cross again this way "glasshopper". There's something mystical/magical about palm fronds in the infra-reds. Until we meet again my friend, I fart in your general direction... -john

Excellent IR tone for tranquility ... The waters reflection is 'THE MOST' eye catching magnite that draws in my eyes to the pond. The artistic blur adds to my attention and adjusts this moody atmosphere to a dreamy sureal life. 7+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Nice work.......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Warm Regards,
Michele~
