A microscope has aperture also, and other tools to control profoundness of the field. My firs images on this site are from histological prepared structures. The las part (my new approach in microscopic examination)is from native natural structures.

I know this process is happening on a flat surface but even so the depth of field is wonderful. Does one still consider aperture when using a microscope. (What a question, even using this equipment is a mystery)

Thank you for your interest. Is a very good think to have an old microscope at home to explore this world, but to have access to a high class microscope with image acquisition facility is ideal.

This is so fantastic!! You have some really amazing images. Not long ago I asked my husband if he could bring back home one of the old microscopes that are not being used, so I could start looking at all kinds of items with our small daughter. I also wanted to start taking photos like this wondering why noone did that, and here you are with all these amazing miniatureworlds that are a part of us and our surroundings. Your work deserves much more attention! I have to make this natural piece of art a favourite! Best wishes Annemette
