Eh . . . you know the 1-2mm preference (apparently) already. No need to beat a dead horse. Lately . . . I've evolved my presentations too . . . besides . . . the interior glow is perfect for this one and well you know it!

Doyle I <~~~~~

What?...not even the preferential 1-2mm black border instead? Seriously, thank you Doyle and thanks for the others also...you know I prefer honesty over schmoozing anyday. :)

As far as the Lensbaby goes, a fun little toy that requires time and patience...but well worth it! Oh, and when you throw that speech at Marlyce you might want to add some tears...very effective, worked for me didn't it?...you retracted your comment even though it was dead on! :) :) :)

Take care...Robin

Robin:

I give up. I can't find ANYTHING wrong here. Really. And it's NOT for lack of trying. You know how cruel and heartless I can get! But this? Just a soft and very beautiful image with an awe inspiring bokeh and if I didn't know better I would think you moved that window to get it into the perfect spot. I didn't realize this kind of quality work was even possible from a lensbaby. :/ Sheesh . . . looks like I have to add it to my list of things I need to buy! Thanks . . . a lot. Just what I needed . . . more things to need (Oh, I know it should be more things to 'want' . . . but I'm practicing the speech Marlyce is gonna get! - Shhhhhhh!)

Beautiful!

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~

I don't know Jan, down pat?...maybe persistent is more appropriate! Think I took about 20 shots, and kept two. A slight bend upwards to get the sweet spot on the flower, and if I remember correctly, only a slight crop...think I even got the "lines" straight in camera! Once again, it is all about time...this day, I had plenty of time to play around and get it right.

I like your idea of shooting sets and reviewing on the computer as you go, images almost always (unless an obvious boo-boo) look great when viewing on the camera...only to find out after it is too late, what you thought were good shots are garbage. True for you also? Ah well, maybe when I get better at this whole business that will change!

Thanks for all your comments and swapping notes Jan, always appreciated!

Take care...Robin

Wowee - You have the LB down pat; this is a perfect subject for LB and I love it. Same question to you that you asked me; how many shots and was there a tilt/bend involved? I would guess there is based on the background but cannot be sure. Could also depend on the crop.
--Best to you, Jan

hi gramma! the first thing that strike me with this photo is the lighting, I like the bokeh cause by the lens baby.. I like the direction from which the light is coming from and I like he composition too with the lines at the background. wonderful shot, really inpiring photo. i feel the warmness even if I know its cold there.
best regards
how did you learn pilipino kaibigan...

Awww.....thank you!!! She looks so beautiful, your yellow tulip! You must be getting the hang of the 3G, by the looks, very nicely done!!!

I'll try not to be so pushy in future, although there's no promises. :)

Hugs
Mel
