Thanks for your Comment Doyle, appreciated as usual. Re selective color toning,I think my work flow would give you a better understanding of color tones but the 'Color Balance' and 'Hue/Saturation' can give you any colors you want. For some really weird colors try 'Curves'For b&w I uses 'Channel Mixture' with the 'Monochrome' box check.Play around to get what you want. Hue/Saturation will gives you the typical IR tones but for more precise tones manipulate each color channel asparately,RGB will affect all the colors. Re composition,I uses a wide angle but if you look long enough on a bright day you can see the composition. I uses Manual mode for exposure after getting a good image because Most of the time 'Auto' will gives you a very dark image. For dark portions of a landscape I normally adds ev compensation and if the clouds are blown out minus ev,it all depends on the overexposure of the clouds.I f shooting and you see the clouds have a green/blue tinge it`s washout. WB setting I uses 'Flourescent+3' or put the filter on the lens and do a custom WB,the red color will disappear. Try and use a noise remover because there a lot of noise from the processing since I don`t use layers. Another way to compose that I used is to compose without the filter and hold it in front of the lens but only if the filter is bigger than the lens. I uses CS2 and one filter which is really awesome is the 'Shadows/Highlight' filter which I seems to be using on all of my images. I was thinking about your helping of Michele and I think if there is a 'mentoring' on UF where a more experience photographer could guide a lesser skilled member to improve.[Just an idea] Take care Doyle,if you need any help, just ask. Robbie

Lovely Robert and having aquired a Hoya 72 IR filter I have begun the experimenting. While conversion and desat is not an issue . . . how is you you get the selective color toning? Color replacment . . . filter? I've seen several color variations - even in one IR image. I also could do with a tip or two on how to compose . . . the viewfinder is USELESS witht he filter . . . like composing a shot with the lenscap on!!! LoL! Any tips would be most welcome!
Regards, Doyle I <~~~~~

Very dreammy, and surely that greeny color adds a lot here, I can say original, a bit warmer than blue - azure tones. Very nice water texture!
