Oh really?:-) Wauw! I can only say that I made sure to take this from a low angle focusing on the hand and the item moving while having light coming in from the above side. I made the camera meter the light from the lamp, so the image would get a bit underexposed with a darker background in an already dim room. I used a fast preprogrammed shuttereffect.
I don´t know if this helped? I´m merely an amateur playing and learning:-)

Thank you very much:-) No, I didn´t do anything about the background as far as I recall. I focused on the light from the lamp making the wall in the background more dark.
