About For 14 years, plus a week, 'Captain' brought companionship and entertainment to his small corner of the globe. He will be missed, as all pets who pass are, and he will also be remembered: every time someone who knew him sees another dalmation they can be heard to say "there goes another captain..."

I'm so sorry for the loss of your pet. Animals truly do become a part of the family. They are friends and they are sorely missed when they pass.

I'm glad you have some wonderful photos (and memories, I'm sure) for you to remember Captain by.

Thanks, Sylvia. It surprises me sometimes, how an animal can become such a part of our lives. He was my parents' dog, but mine too from when I lived at home.
Jason.

Hi Jason,
A wonderful tribute to a beautiful dog:) I can see in your 'about' section how much he meant to you. 14 is a good age for a dog but it is never long enough, is it?
Condolences
Sylvia

Thanks, Michele. I really liked the colour version of this picture, but as a tribute I prefered it in sepia. Not sure why, it just seemed more fitting. J.
