I actually like the fact that the flower and background are almost blending together, great use of negative space and contrast.

This is a nice image. I love flowers and shoot them all the time just for fun. One thing you can do with this type image and something that I feel works well is to burn around the outer edge of the image. Just a little. This tends to separate the flower from the backdrop. It needn't be much just a little. And this particular image being not quite highkey needs to have the tips of the petals have more definition. The petals are too light. They are getting lost in the glare of the backdrop. I strive for about 1/4 to 1/2 less light on the background so that the subject has some separation form it.
