About This is one of the places in town where people sit in the evenings listening to music from ghetto blasters. That evening somebody brought an old tape of Marillion. (Does anybody remember them?) It was getting late and the lyrics of "Bitter suite" by Fish brought a strange atmosphere, that made all guys light the next cigarette and drink their wine looking at the coming darkness.

"It's getting late,
for scribbling and scratching on the paper
Something's gonna give under this pressure,
and the cracks are already beginning to show
It's too late
The weekend career girl never boarded the plane
They said this could never happen again
It's so wrong, so wrong"

I guess everybody sees something different in such times, and so it's quite hard to capture what it "really" looks like on a photo. Here is a bit of underexposure for getting the silhouette of the cityscape almost dark but leaving some texture to the dark water. I think it is a bit interesting, especially because of that sudden transistion to the more strongly illuminated sky over the roofs of the city.

Thanks a lot for the nice comment, Giuseppe, and don't worry so much about "missed" pictures. I missed much more of yours in the mean while (Shame mode on!)

I am glad that you like the atmosphere on this one. It might be "technically" not perfect, but I find it very atmospheric too!

Have a nice holiday and above all, health, joy, and cognition not only for Christmas but always!

Nick

Nick, sorry but I missed your pictures of the last five days. Among them all I like better this one because it has a special emotive and mysterious atmosphere. I love the sky above all that seems painted with few sharp brush-strokes.
Nick, I wish you and your loved ones a warm, happy Christmastime and a spendid year 2007.

Giuseppe
