Hi Sam,
You are very kind, I have had a wonderfull welcome to the site. There are lot's of passionate photographers involved with the site.
I think if all the photographers had some input running the planet it would be a better place.
Thanks again and have a wonderfull new year.
Kind Regards Douglas

Hi Douglas,
As I have been viewing your portfolio for over the Last 2 hours. It took me a awhile to gather my thoughts and be able to put them into writing.
First off I have to say Welcome to usefilm!!!
Your portfolio is nothing less then a 1ST RATE portfolio with all sorts of wonderful images.
This shot above all of your other ones drew me in. Don't get me wrong, I love all of your work....but I kept coming back to this image.
When I view a image. The things that I Look for are Composition, Apperance, WOW factor, and last but not least. Presentation.
This shot has it all.
I Love the dioagonal Sun ray. to me, they are as if the Lord said ok boy's Tee off. They lead my eye into the shot right to those awesome rolling green hills that make up Turnberry. The Contrast between the sky, the midground and the foreground is spot on. This is the type of shot that would make a perfect Postcard or ad flyer for Turnberry. Anyhow, I will leave you with a final thought.
The ominous clouds combined with the fantastic rays. Bring the rolling green hills and the silhouetted Golfers all together to create a wonderful Master piece!
Well done 7/7 and straight into Fav's
Best wishes for the New Year!

Absolute cracker Douglas. In the bag indeed. Yes there is a lot to look at in this image and I enjoy allowing my eye to rove around the image checking all that lovely detail. But always come back to the golfers and understanding more about the environment they are in. I too presume that the sunbeams have been emphasised (and feel free to slap me if they are not) and think they could use toning down just a tad. Otherwise love it . Jonesy

Excellent dynamic range! Great level of detail, colours and composition. I agree with Doyle that the sunbeams steal attention of what I believe your subject is, the golfer. The dramatic sky add a lot to the tension of the moment.
Cheers!
Francisco.

Interesting shot with a lot of potential. The added sunbeams are somewhat of a distraction (IMO) from what would otherwise be a decent composition.
Season's Best, Doyle I <~~~~~
