Absolutely gorgeous. The framing is excellent, and while simple, the photograph is quite rich. The barely-visible sun and vignetting in the corners adds visual interest to the background, further enhanced by the matting. I think the image would be rather dull without the background. The solitary trees in the foreground against the grouping in the background seem to tell a story. Good job.

Those trees look like they could use some bopping to music - just to warm up Ekkehard!
Lovely photo. The composition works really well with the two different sized trees and the position of a very diluted sun. The faded tree-line in the distance adds to the image perfectly. Makes me long to return to Germany just to experience a white Christmas again. Hope you have a good one .
